How we check the numbers
- Official sources, clearly dated: tax rates, thresholds and limits are checked against government and regulator publications, and every page shows the date its figures were last checked.
- Tested before publishing: the Everyday Money Calc team checks each calculator against a separate test sheet with at least three worked examples before it goes live.
- Updated when the rules change: when a budget or a rate changes, we update the numbers and the date, and we review every calculator at least once a year.
- Ads never change the results: if we show ads, they are kept separate from calculator results, and we don’t take payment to recommend loans, credit cards or insurance.
- Found a number that looks wrong, or need a calculator we don’t have yet? Let us know.
